Hi community,

Today we welcome caste1969. This new developer intends to make an important contribution to CslaGenFork in the form of a replacement for DBSchemaInfo that handles multiple SQL database servers. Besides SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and ADOX (*) are in line. Let's hope Firebird, PostgreSQL and MySQL will follow.

The schema reader is a very important component of any OR/M code generator. Andrés Villanueva (aka XAL) deserves the credit for DBSchemaInfo. But it's time to move on and change to a schema reader that allows CslaGenFork to be even more useful and get a wider user base.

(*) Quoting ADOX Fundamentals:
Microsoft® ActiveX® Data Objects Extensions for Data Definition Language and Security (ADOX) is an extension to the ADO objects and programming model. ADOX includes objects for schema creation and modification, as well as security. Because it is an object-based approach to schema manipulation, you can write code that will work against various data sources regardless of differences in their native syntaxes.
